LONG BEACH, Calif., Nov. 3, 2026 — InsureMEP today announced the launch of the CriticalAsset infrastructure management platform, giving commercial property insurance professionals, building owners, and facility teams a single, verified source of truth for a property's critical mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and fire/life safety infrastructure.

For insurance professionals, better verified property information improves the quality of risk submissions and underwriting decisions. For facility teams, the platform makes critical infrastructure knowledge easier to access, share, and use across an organization.

Buildings have a real data problem; critical information about their infrastructure is often scattered across old plans, spreadsheets, printouts, disconnected software, and the institutional knowledge of longtime employees. That can leave owners and operators without reliable answers to fundamental questions like: What equipment do we have? Where is it? What condition is it in? What needs attention? And where is the main water shut-off valve?

CriticalAsset transforms opaque building information into digital "smart maps" by combining existing property data and authoritative public records with AI-assisted field capture to verify and map the building's critical assets. It generates detailed property documentation, provides asset-health and maintenance insights, captures compliance and maintenance evidence, and explicitly identifies information that remains unknown rather than relying on assumptions.

Central to the platform is a verification process designed around proof, not promises. AI-derived information moves through a verification pipeline, with human approval required before it becomes part of the customer record. Facts are tied to supporting evidence, creating a more trustworthy foundation for facility management, maintenance planning, and property risk assessment.

CriticalAsset has been deployed across complex commercial and institutional properties; the platform has mapped a 59-structure international airport campus, onboarded $2.68 billion in total insured value across 50 buildings and 13 client accounts for a brokerage client, and captured and integrity-verified over 3,500 assets within 16 university buildings.
