Investment expands support for offering designed to give firefighters faster, better information during wildfires
WASHINGTON, Nov. 4, 2026 — EMBERPOINT™, a wildfire intelligence company built to give first responders an operational advantage, today announced State Farm® as its newest investor, expanding the cross-industry coalition supporting its mission to deliver decision-ready wildfire intelligence.
State Farm joins Lockheed Martin, PG&E Corporation, Salesforce and Wells Fargo as investors in EMBERPOINT, adding the perspective of one of the nation's largest property insurers to a cross-industry coalition spanning aviation, critical infrastructure, enterprise technology, finance, insurance and community resilience. The breadth of the coalition reflects the need for coordinated, cross industry solutions to a national challenge no single sector can solve alone.
The State Farm investment will help advance the EMBERPOINT technology to aid firefighters and emergency responders with actionable intelligence that aims to accelerate resource deployment when wildfire threatens homes and neighborhoods.
WHY IT MATTERS
According to the National Interagency Fire Center, in 2025, more than 77,000 wildfires burned across the U.S., destroying more than 18,000 structures, including nearly 13,000 homes. Wildfire has become a national operational challenge spanning states and various agencies and first responders. Enabling a new level of coordination is critical to protecting communities. EMBERPOINT leverages new advances in tools and technology designed to better connect information across systems, agencies and jurisdictions and help provide a more timely, shared picture that supports informed decisions and coordinated action.
The addition of State Farm broadens the expertise supporting EMBERPOINT's mission, bringing a unique national perspective on the community impact of wildfires. With more than 100 years of experience helping customers prepare for and recover from the unexpected – from helping create car seat and seat belt standards to its longstanding focus on home resiliency – State Farm brings firsthand knowledge of the growing importance of preparedness, timely response, resilience and recovery.
EMBERPOINT's advisory council of former fire chiefs keeps product development grounded in operational priorities, including resource allocation, near-real-time perimeter mapping and integrated decision support. Together, these perspectives can help incident commanders make faster, better-informed decisions while remaining firmly in control.
LEADERSHIP INSIGHT
- "No single company or sector can solve the wildfire challenge alone," said Adam Broecker, CEO of EMBERPOINT. "The strongest solutions bring technology, operational experience and community insight together around the needs of firefighters. State Farm strengthens that coalition with a national perspective on risk and resilience, helping us advance our mission to deliver decision-ready wildfire intelligence."
- "Reducing wildfire risk requires attention to individual properties and the surrounding community," said Kate Strubhar, VP of State Farm Ventures. "Our investment in EMBERPOINT supports the development of technology intended to give emergency responders timely information as they assess wildfire conditions and coordinate their response. This investment builds on State Farm's longstanding support for wildfire preparedness and community resilience."
WHAT'S NEXT
EMBERPOINT will work with its investors and fire-service leaders to identify shared priorities, strengthen coordination and address barriers to effective wildfire response. These efforts will help keep the company's work grounded in operational needs and aligned with the systems agencies already use.
